Description

Playing around with AFL, I've run into the following string that seems to generate an incorrect HTML.

% cat test.py
import markdown2

print markdown2.Markdown().convert('_____Z_')
% python test.py
<p><strong><em></strong>Z</em></p>

Research direction

Start by running the test.py reproduction with Markdown().convert('____Z') and inspect the Markdown conversion path that produces the nested tags. Confirm the intended HTML structure for this input and add regression coverage; done means the conversion no longer emits incorrectly nested HTML.
