Description
What
Add a Commitment Savings view for Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, coverage, utilization, renewals, and expirations.
CloudBurn will combine supported AWS recommendation sources while keeping provenance, assumptions, confidence, and evidence freshness visible.
Why
Customers can review commitment opportunities with enough context to make informed purchasing decisions without guaranteed-savings claims.
Scope
- Show commitment coverage, utilization, renewal, and purchase opportunities
- Keep different recommended actions separate and understandable
- Exclude unknown or overlapping savings from known totals

Research direction
Start by locating the existing entry points for Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, coverage, utilization, renewals, and expirations. Map the supported AWS recommendation sources and define how provenance, assumptions, confidence, evidence freshness, separate actions, and excluded overlapping or unknown savings should appear in the Commitment Savings view. Done means the view presents these opportunities without guaranteed-savings claims.
