Description

I'm using FiraCode with iTerm (v3.3.7), everything is good.
However I had an issue with single equal sign, even I typed "=", it shows something similar to hyphen. Any ideas? (I use gvim and everything works perfectly though.)

Research direction

Reproduce the single-equals rendering in iTerm 3.3.7 with FiraCode, using the attached screenshot as the visual reference and comparing the same character in gvim. Done means identifying why the equals sign appears like a hyphen and documenting or fixing the rendering so it displays correctly in iTerm.
