Research direction
Start by reproducing the reported rendering in VS Code with FiraCode and the πππ examples. Compare the globe glyph with the system's color emoji fallback; done means emoji codepoints are not replaced by monochrome FiraCode glyphs while the other reported rendering remains usable.
