Description

I found my program is running slow after using Fira code and it works faster after using other monospace fonts like Consola and Courier New.

I guess the root cause may be that my CPU loading is almost full but it seems that Fira code consumes more CPU loading than other fonts.

Fira code is a great font so I am looking forward to the performance as good as other fonts.

Research direction

The issue names no source files, tests, application, or reproducible steps. Start by identifying the program and refresh scenario, then compare CPU usage with Fira Code, Consolas, and Courier New under the same conditions; done means a reproducible performance cause and a confirmed improvement.
