`TmuxObjectDoesNotExist` when creating `libtmux.Server().new_session(attach=True)`

When I run this code, the session is created successfully (tmux opens up, there is a single window with text like $2 in it, closed upon enter, and then I have a shell) but libtmux does not seem to find it.

It's the same with tmux 3.3a from Linuxbrew.
When the session gets started:

Reproduce the failure with Server().new_session(attach=True) and inspect server.py, session.py, and neo.py at the stack-trace locations. Compare the session returned by tmux list-sessions with the identifier passed to Session.from_session_id, including tmux 3.0a and 3.3a behavior. Done means the reported command returns the created session without TmuxObjectDoesNotExist.
