Description

Way to powerfull tool 😉

Like create-branch this should have a -r (remote) option instead.
This way you are not able to delete a remote by accident.

Deleting is easier than creating this way.

Research direction

Start by locating the delete-branch command and compare its option handling with create-branch. The change is complete when remote deletion requires an explicit -r flag, preventing accidental remote deletion; check the command's existing tests or usage output if available.
