Description

This shouldn't be the default since it means doing a lot of work in drop and work which can cause errors (and thus double panics), but it would be a useful convenience option.

Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the transaction cleanup and Drop implementation, then determine how an opt-in rollback-on-drop setting would interact with existing error handling and double-panic concerns; done means the option works without becoming the default and is covered by tests.
