Research direction
Start by reproducing the message body font-size reset in Thunderbird for Android 11.0 using the reported Android 16 and Pixel 6 setup, then trace where the setting is saved and restored across app restarts. Done means the selected font size remains in effect after the app is closed and reopened, with the behavior checked against the previous 10.x version.
