  • I will describe the problem with as much detail as possible.
App

K-9 Mail

App version

9.0

Where did you get the app from?

Google Play

Android version

15, One UI 7.0

Device model

Samsung Galaxy S24+

Steps to reproduce
  1. Use another email client and save an email in the Drafts folder with some message body text.
  2. Use K9 to open that email in the Drafts folder.
  3. The email message body will be empty. The whole content is not displayed.
  4. Use another email client to redisplay the email from the Drafts folder. The email is displayed correctly, with the whole message body text.
Expected behavior

The app should display the message body text from the emails that are saved by other email clients in the Drafts folder.

Actual behavior

The app does not display the message body text from the emails that are saved by other email clients in the Drafts folder.

Research direction

Reproduce the issue on Android 15 with K-9 Mail 9.0 using a draft saved by another email client, then compare how the draft body is read and displayed. Confirm the fix by reopening the same Drafts message in K-9 and verifying that its full body text appears.
