App

Thunderbird for Android

App version

9.0b3

Where did you get the app from?

F-Droid

Android version

Android 15, crDroid custom ROM (15.0-20250302-beryllium-v11.2)

Device model

Xiaomi POCO F1 (beryllium)

Steps to reproduce
  1. Configure multiple email accounts (I have 8: personal Gmail, organizational Gmails, personal Hotmail, personal Outlook).
  2. Force close the app and reopen it.
  3. Open the left panel and initiate sync for all emails.
Expected behavior

All accounts should synchronize successfully within a few seconds.

Actual behavior
  1. Synchronization does not complete (left it running for 11 minutes without success).
  2. "Authentication failed" notifications appear for some accounts (specifically 3 accounts).

Research direction

Start by reviewing the attached k9mail-logs.txt and reproducing the issue with multiple Gmail, Hotmail, and Outlook accounts on Thunderbird for Android 9.0b3. Done means all configured accounts synchronize within a few seconds without authentication-failed notifications.
