Description

It might not be obvious to users why the app doesn't fetch remote images by default. We should show an explanation/warning, e.g. when the user presses the "show remote images" button for the first time.

We'll probably want to combine this with …

  • #1035
  • #6881

… and other options supported by Thunderbird (desktop).

This needs UI/UX design.

Research direction

Start by reviewing this issue together with #1035 and #6881, then identify the existing remote-image control and the Thunderbird-supported options referenced here. The work needs UI/UX design for explaining the privacy implications and deciding how the related options should be combined; it is done when those requirements are agreed and implemented.
