Problem you are trying to solve
I'd like to send audio messages (a bit like most IM apps do) as email attachment.
Suggested solution
I see that FairEmail can do that, using MediaStore.Audio.Media.RECORD_SOUND_ACTION. Honestly, I'm very ignorant about Android, so I don't fully understand what it means, I think you do :)
From a user perspective, it's great!

Research direction
No repository file or test is named in the issue. Start by reviewing the Android MediaStore.Audio.Media.RECORD_SOUND_ACTION entry point and how Thunderbird for Android composes email attachments; done means a user can record or select an audio message and send it as an email attachment.
