App version

6.400

Where did you get the app from?

F-Droid

Android version

Android 11, Lineage OS

Device model

Redmi Note 7

Steps to reproduce
  1. Receive a mail that starts with plain text and then a PGP message
  2. Thunderbird is able to detect and decrypt this while K-9 doesn't do anything
    2022-12-25_11-24
Expected behavior

K-9 Mail should detect a PGP field and decrypt it automatically/ask the user to decrypt it.

Actual behavior

K-9 Mail doesn't check for PGP messages if they're not on top of the mail

Research direction

The issue names no source file, test, or entry point. First reproduce the report on Android 11 with K-9 Mail 6.400 using a message with plain text before the PGP content, comparing the result with Thunderbird. Done means K-9 detects the embedded PGP message and decrypts it or asks the user to decrypt it.
