Description
When using a swipe action that removes the message from the list, display the colored background until the surrounding messages have been animated into their new positions.
Edge case: When there are not enough items to fill the screen and the last item of the list is removed, make it look like the empty space below the last message item is expanding to cover the colored background in the previously last position.

Research direction
Start by locating the Kotlin Android swipe-action removal animation and the surrounding-message repositioning code. Verify that the colored background remains visible through repositioning, including the short-list final-item case; done means both visual behaviors match the issue.
