Description
This appears to be an old bug that was reported back in 2012 but i see no resolution of it. I have had this a number of times. I often compose email while in the air with no network. When I reconnect, email just sits in the Outbox forever. No matter what i do (reboot etc) they just don't send.
There is NOTHING wrong with the recipients.
When i am online and compose a brand new email, and send it, it goes out, but still leaves the other mails in the Outbox stuck. Very frustrating, especially as I can send email to the SAME people.
There is no logs in the error folder produced.
Environment
K-9 Mail version: 5.28
Android version: 7.1.1
Account type (IMAP, POP3, WebDAV/Exchange): IMAP

Research direction
The report names no source file, test, or entry point. Start by reproducing the offline-compose and reconnect flow using the stated K-9 Mail 5.28, Android 7.1.1, IMAP environment; done means explaining why queued messages remain in Outbox while a newly composed message sends and verifying the queued messages are sent.
