Description
It would be great (specially for work-related email accounts) if one could setup a "downtime" option (separately!) for every email account configured, just like Android 5+ does for calls.
(And, of course also enable a [Check email] button, so one can also force syncing the emails if needed.)
For more details, please check the screenshots from the "downtime" feature from Android 5+ itself.

Research direction
Review the issue description and the linked Android 5+ downtime reference first. Define per-account downtime settings and a manual Check email action, with completion measured by scheduled syncing being suppressed during downtime while manual checks still work.
