Steps to reproduce
  1. set up a mail account to display notifications on incoming mails
  2. receive 2 or more mails
Expected behavior

Research direction

Reproduce the issue on Android 16 or 17 using Thunderbird for Android 21.0, with two or more incoming messages and the reported account setup. Trace how incoming-mail notifications are created and grouped, then verify that each email has a separate notification with accessible individual actions and dismissal.
