Steps to reproduce
This is clearly related to the bug you fixed with version 18.0 in which K-9 Mail reliably crashed when opening an email containing embedded images.
It no longer crashes on opening emails, which is good.
However, if I open an email containing embedded images, and reply, and while drafting my reply I switch away from K-9 Mail, then instead of saving the draft email - as it should - K-9 Mail crashes.
If instead of switching away from K-9 Mail I save the draft first and then switch away, then it doesn’t crash. But I usually don’t remember to do this and therefore have lost several draft emails and had to retype them.
It doesn't crash if the email I'm replying to doesn't contain embedded images.
I’ve uploaded a log file to here. The latest crash happened at 15:03 on 21/04.

Research direction
Reproduce the crash on Android 8.0 with K-9 Mail 18.0 by replying to a message containing embedded images and switching away before saving. Inspect the uploaded crash log and draft-saving path; done means switching away no longer crashes and the reply is saved as a draft.
