Steps to reproduce

1 Open a long message
2 Scroll the text slowly, as if you want to scroll the text while reading

Expected behavior

When reading long messages, users often keep their finger on the screen to scroll slowly. The system should recognize this movement to prevent accidental text selection.

Actual behavior

It frequently happens that while slowly scrolling through text—usually when reading long emails—text is accidentally selected. The delay between the initial touch and text selection should be increased; alternatively, users should be able to customize this delay in the 'Interaction' settings menu

Start by reproducing the accidental text selection on a long message on stock Android 12 while scrolling slowly. Review the touch interaction behavior and the Interaction settings area mentioned in the issue. Done means slow scrolling no longer frequently selects text, or the selection delay is clearly configurable there.
