Weird issue with thunderbird crashing on xiaomi devices with 3rd party browser installed

Steps to reproduce

1. Install & setup a 3rd party browser (microsoft edge for example)
2. Either attempt to start thunderbird app that is alrealdy setup, or try to create account on a new thunderbird app
3. thunderbird crashes

Expected behavior

Thunderbird doesn't crash

Actual behavior

Thunderbird crashes

Log seem to show thunderbird attempt to bind to microsoft edge and failed... perhaps something from xiaomi is preventing it?

changing default browser app to xiaomi oem browser doesn't seem to fix it either

Thunderbird seemed to work as per-normal after removing 3rd party browser from the device.

Start by reviewing the attached k9mail-logs.txt and reproducing the crash on a Xiaomi 14 running Android 15 with Microsoft Edge installed. Compare launching an already configured app with creating a new account, and verify that Thunderbird starts and account setup completes without crashing when a third-party browser is present.
