Description

A very important point for an enterprise rollout is the automatic configuration of the client. Hence it would be great if these two documentations are moved over into this docs:

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Autoconfiguration
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Autoconfiguration:ConfigFileFormat

These two pages already link to non existing pages. It would be a shame if this content is totally lost because mozilla has different priorities and they might delete those wiki pages one day.

Research direction

Start by reading the two linked Mozilla wiki pages, Thunderbird:Autoconfiguration and Thunderbird:Autoconfiguration:ConfigFileFormat, then inspect the repository's existing documentation structure. Move or reproduce their relevant content in this documentation, with the autoconfiguration and config-file-format guidance available without relying on the wiki pages.
