Description

Environment
  • TeXstudio: 4.1.2
  • Qt: 6.2.2
  • OS: MacOS 11.6.1
  • TeX distribution: texlive 2021
Expected behavior

If I type a special string, Typinator should replace the string.

Actual behavior

The special string is just deleted and not replaced. (In other programs, like e.g. Atom, the replacement works as expected.)

How to reproduce

You have to install Typinator to reproduce the behavior.

Research direction

No source file, test, or entry point is identified. First reproduce the issue with TeXstudio 4.1.2, Qt 6.2.2, macOS 11.6.1, TeX Live 2021, and Typinator, then trace the macOS text-replacement path. Done means Typinator replaces the special string in TeXstudio as it does in other applications.
