Description
It will be very convenient for a possibility that scalar names could have a mathematical expressions/formulas using latex (or any other tool for mathematical symbols) so the following line, for example, will look with "2" as superscript in the browser.
tf.summary.scalar($f^2$, f_loss, step=epoch)

Research direction
Start by tracing how scalar names are accepted and rendered in the browser, then assess how mathematical expressions such as f^2 could be represented. Done means a scalar label containing the example expression displays the intended superscript reliably.
