Description

In local TensorBoard, it is possible to draw from more than one directory simultaneously like

tensorboard --logdir_spec=NAME_EXP1:./issue/,NAME_EXP2:./issue2

This is not supported in TensorBoard.dev. This, in combination with tb.dev's lack of comparison feature limits a valid use case.

We would expect the following to work

tensorboard dev upload --logdir_spec=NAME_EXP1:./issue/,NAME_EXP2:./issue2

This issue was discovered while investigating #5188

Research direction

Start with the tensorboard dev upload --logdir_spec entry point and compare its handling with local tensorboard --logdir_spec. Verify that the example with two named directories uploads successfully and preserves both directories for comparison.
