Description

For big amounts of data it take very long to render them. To speed up the rendering we could, for example, limit the number of points rendered per plot (by rendering each n-th point) and allow user to increase/decrease resolution if needed.

Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the plot rendering path for large datasets and determine where the number of rendered points can be controlled. Done means large plots render faster while users can increase or decrease the displayed resolution.
