Description

This would be a follow up to issue #670.
Is there any pre-existing function which can create sprite images for the embedding projector ?
If not then this would be a feature request.

A function which takes images and output resolution as arguements and returns a sprite image compatible with the projector plugin.

Research direction

Start by reviewing issue #670 and the embedding projector's existing image and sprite handling. Determine whether a reusable function already exists; if not, define the supported image inputs and output resolution, then verify that the returned sprite image is compatible with the projector plugin.
