Description

i can successfully run the "Tabula Rasa" example in this medium.com blog. but when i try to save the model by adding a callback keyword argument to model.fit that points to tf.keras.callbacks.ModelCheckpoint i get TypeError: can't pickle SwigPyObject objects.

is this expected? is there another way to save the model? thanks.

Research direction

Start by rerunning the linked “Tabula Rasa” example with tf.keras.callbacks.ModelCheckpoint and the VariationalGaussianProcess model. Investigate how saving and restoring is handled, then verify whether a supported workflow exists or document the limitation and expected behavior.
