fetch_history is not yet implemented, make sure it is interceptable when done.

Research direction
Start by reviewing pull request #942, which introduced list, and inspect the surrounding client interceptor patterns. Identify how list can be intercepted and how fetch_history will expose interception when implemented; done means both operations are interceptable.
