Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the digital waveform parsing and serialization code, then compare its handling of 8-bit data with the 16-bit waveform produced by the MSO2. Done means digital waveforms from the MSO2 can be read and written without being limited to 8-bit data.
