Description
When navigating both between single page/multipage mode and between different multipage pages, toggled user-code annotations should be preserved.
Probably the toggle should append a query string snippet that gets preserved. Also makes the annotations linkable.

Research direction
Start by tracing the annotation toggle and the navigation paths for single-page and multipage views. Inspect how URL state is currently handled, then verify that toggled user-code annotations survive mode changes and page changes and can be represented by a linkable query string.
