Description
When checking https://tauri.app/release/ both the left-side column or by forcing manually the URL, we can see that 1.x versions stops at 1.6.0. However, there were quite some other releases since then (latest currently is 1.8.3)
Sure, there's a 1.x website at https://v1.tauri.app/releases/ where every releases are, but there are 0.x and 1.x releases on the main (v2) one, leading to user failing to grasp while these version are here up to 1.6.0 and not anymore after this. If the choice was to not add 1.x versions on the v2 website anymore, then maybe it'd be less confusing to remove every 0.x and 1.x release from there and only have a generic link sending to the v1 website on the releases pages.

Research direction
Start by comparing the release listing at https://tauri.app/release/ with the complete versions at https://v1.tauri.app/releases/. Trace the source or configuration that controls the main site's 0.x and 1.x entries, then make the treatment of versions after 1.6.0 consistent and verify the release pages no longer confuse users.
