Description

Due to legacy issues update stores operations array using IPROTO_TUPLE key meanwhile there's explicit IPROTO_OPS which is in turn used by upsert. To keep backward compatibility probably we should support passing operations using both keys at least for some time.

Research direction

The issue names no files or tests. Start by tracing how update and upsert decode operations and where IPROTO_TUPLE and IPROTO_OPS are handled. Done means the compatibility and deprecation behavior is defined and covered for both keys, but the issue needs maintainer guidance before implementation.
