Research direction
Start by locating the existing documentation for metrics.cfg and the include setting, then compare how other default metric categories are described. Document that cpu_extended was introduced in metrics 1.3.0 and can be enabled or disabled separately; the work is done when its configuration behavior is covered consistently with the other categories.
