Description

Currently, the undocumented use of the dagger (†) is to mark Schwanengesang, eg Skutsch ad Cic. div. 2.145. It might be useful to systematically mark posthumous conjectures instead.

This can be easily done by comparing the value in Year with a critic’s floruit.

Research direction

Start by locating the Year and critic floruit fields in the conjecture data and the code that renders the dagger (†) for Schwanengesang. Compare those values to identify posthumous conjectures, then verify that the appropriate records are marked systematically.
