Description

I have just downloaded Syncthing release 2.0.15 (amd64), and it seems that no ~/Sync dir gets created on first run. The documentation for 'latest' (https://docs.syncthing.net/intro/getting-started.html#syncthing) mentions that syncthing will set up a Default Folder.

My conclusion is that either there is a bug in syncthing, or there is a 'bug' in the documentation.

Research direction

Start with the getting-started page linked in the report, especially the instructions for “latest,” and compare them with the reported first run of Syncthing 2.0.15. Determine whether the documentation or Syncthing behavior is inconsistent; done means the discrepancy is identified and the documentation or product issue has a clear follow-up.
