Description

Right now, contains() calls into the generic 2-way searcher which does Character loading and comparison, instead of doing the fast thing. We should specialize for String types.

Research direction

Start at contains() and trace its use of the generic 2-way searcher, focusing on the Character loading and comparison described in the issue. Identify the other search algorithms that need String and SubString specializations; done means those String types use the faster specialized paths rather than the generic searcher.
