Description

None of the options seem to allow for ignoring conversion to Date objects. I just wish to have the fields that look like Dates to declared as String (and not Date)

Is there a way to do this?

Research direction

Start by examining the Java model generation options and templates mentioned by the request, focusing on how fields that look like dates are mapped to Date objects. Confirm whether an existing option supports String fields; done means documenting or implementing a clear way to preserve those fields as String and verifying the generated Java models.
