Description

I know its lots of work, but it helps to go to the script faster rather than trying to find it manually.
To add another option at the component right click menu "go to file"

Here are some questions that can aid in the description of the feature request:

  • What are the usecases? Faster and easier to find
  • What kind of options/settings are expected/wanted? Adding option to go to file on right click
  • What would the (pseudo) code look like? (i dont understand this part)
  • Is the feature affecting behaviour in the editor? Yes, for better feeling for using this engine.
    • if so: how should this look in the editor? (I'm not a good photoshopper)

  • Is there a component or datastructure? (I dont understand it)
  • what kind of documentation is needed or needs to be updated? maybe not necessary
  • Should there be an example project? Definetly not

Research direction

Start by locating the component context-menu handlers for the Assets view and Solution Explorer, then trace how a component maps to its script or source file. Done means a component right-click menu includes “Go to file” and opens the corresponding file from either view.
