Description
If R crashes for whatever reason during sbc then all work is lost.
Would you accept a PR to add a save_progress="/path/to/directory" argument that would save each model run as they finish and then restore them if available?

Research direction
The proposal requests a save_progress="/path/to/directory" argument for SBC and restoration of completed model runs after an R crash. No files, tests, or entry points are named, so first locate the SBC implementation and how model runs are tracked. Done means completed runs are saved as they finish and available results are restored when present.
