Description
Description
The MPI build currently has problems whenever older boost version are on a given system as the wrong boost serialization is linked in.
Example
For bug reports:
Install an old boost on your system and build any of the mpi tests. These will be linked against the old boost serialization which causes problems.
Expected Output
All binaries should be linked against the bundled boost libraries only

Research direction
Start by installing an older Boost version and building the MPI tests to reproduce the incorrect Boost serialization linkage. Inspect the MPI build configuration and verify that all resulting binaries link only against the bundled Boost libraries.
