Description
We currently have the authentication feature in Toolhive, and this needs to be supported by major clients.
However we have detected that some of those major clients (Claude...) are just supporting dynamic client registration.
Auth currently only works and has been validated in VSCode. We should validate the authentication in:
- Claude Code
- Cursor
- WindSurf

Research direction
Start by reviewing Toolhive's existing authentication behavior and the validation already completed in VSCode. Then test authentication with Claude Code, Cursor, and WindSurf, recording whether each client works and any client-specific limitations. Done means all three clients have been validated and the results are documented in the issue.
