Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the transfer or setup phase and its viewport overlay path, then determine how self-intersecting polygons or triangles can be identified. Done means a diagnostic control visibly highlights those intersections before solver initialization.

Description

deployed enhancement worked
Motivation

Hello! First of all, thank you for the amazing addon.

I have a feature request that would greatly improve the workflow and debugging process. It would be incredibly helpful to add a button or toggle that visually highlights self-intersecting polygons/triangles during the transfer or setup phase.

Proposal

Currently, hidden intersections can cause the solver to become unstable or "explode" upon initialization. Having a diagnostic viewport overlay (e.g., highlighting intersecting faces in red) would allow users to quickly spot and fix topological issues before running the simulation.
