Session fixation vulnerabilities are a very serious security threat. Spring Security provides the SessionFixationProtectionStrategy class to defend against that. However, the default SessionAuthenticationStrategy in AbstractAuthenticationProcessingFilter is NullAuthenticatedSessionStrategy, which does nothing.
It would be a very important improvement to have secured defaults, so please set SessionFixationProtectionStrategy as the default.
