Description

As detailed in RFC 7522. It would be nice for institutions needing to formulate a bridge between SAML 2.0 authentication and OAuth 2.0 authorization.

Research direction

Start by reading RFC 7522, linked in the issue, to understand the SAML 2.0 assertion grant requirements and how they bridge authentication with OAuth 2.0 authorization. Done means Spring Security supports this grant type for institutions needing that bridge, but the issue does not identify entry points, tests, or a narrower implementation scope.
