Description

Is it possible to create a LDAP Context Source without an admin userDN and password?

Our LDAP servers do provide anonymous bind search which is the 80% use case of the application. For cases where CRUD operations are needed, we need the app to bind the specific user who is performing the operation.

Research direction

Start by locating the Context Source configuration and the handling of the admin userDN and password. Check how anonymous-bind searches and binding as the user performing a CRUD operation are expected to coexist; done means a Context Source can be created without admin credentials while both use cases work correctly.
