Description

When calling an URL with encoded characters like "/myapplication/search/Gr%C3%A4" while using a linkTo(methodOn(...)) (e.g. to "/myapplication/persons/id") to fill the links in the resulting resource the calculated link is not correct.

Instead of
http://server/myapplication/persons/id
the result is
http://server/myapplication/search/Gr%C3%A4/persons/id

When i remove the encoded characters the method works fine.
My workaround for now is the transportation of encoded characters in request parameters instead of path parameters.

Research direction

The issue names no source files, tests, or entry points. Start by reproducing linkTo(methodOn(...)) with the encoded path /myapplication/search/Gr%C3%A4 and compare it with the unencoded case; done means the generated link remains http://server/myapplication/persons/id instead of including the encoded path segment.
