Description
Bob Tiernay opened DATAREST-589 and commented
RepositoryRestExceptionHandler does not apply to @RepositoryRestController annotated classes. This leads to javax.validation.ConstraintViolationException s causing 500 responses instead of 404.
As a side effect of this, a user must recreate all the handling performed by RepositoryRestExceptionHandler to handle the various exception handling responses and failure modes. This leads to much repetition and inconsistency in the developer experience
