Description

Andreas Taube opened DATAREST-512 and commented

According to the reference documentation chapter 11.3.3 Customizing the representation it should be possible to register a custom ConversionService with Converter<Entity,Resource> instances to influence the JSON output. This doesn't seem to work. Is this feature still supported? For my understanding I would like to convert a given PersistentEntity to some Resource POJO representing my custom JSON output.

According to the source code, there seems to be no ConversionService reference which is responsible for this part. The only reasonable link I could found was the ResourceProcessorHandlerMethodReturnValueHandler which is responsible for invoking the registered RessourceProcessors. But the explicit conversion part is completely missing.

If I miss something here, can you please update the docs with some examples?
