Description

Rob Winch opened DATAREST-285 and commented

When Spring data rest tries to save an entity with JSR-303 annotations, it does not validate the entity prior to trying to save to the database. This results in a 500 instead of a bad request with a reasonable error message.

It would be nice if Spring Data Rest would validate the JSR annotations and if the validation fails return a bad response with a good error message
